'The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey': the official trailer for the miniseries with Samuel L. Jackson was revealed

The adaptation of the homonymous novel will arrive on March 11 in the Apple TV + catalog

Apple TV+ released the official trailer for The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, the miniseries starring Samuel L. Jackson and based on the novel of the same name. With the Oscar nominee leading the cast, the story about family, memory, and legacy proposes a dramatic journey through the life of a completely abandoned man. At an advanced age, he sets out on a search for his memories to put together the pieces that will lead him to the truth behind it all.

The limited production for television is an original Apple Studios project and is produced by Jackson himself. Walter Mosley, the author of the book, adapted the story for the small screen and also produces it with the protagonist. The premiere date of the first 2 episodes will be March 11 through the streaming platform, the rest of the season will be divided with a weekly premiere every Friday. In total, there will be six episodes.

The television adaptation of The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray

According to the description published by Apple TV +, the story of The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray follows “Ptolemy Gray (Samuel L. Jackson), a sick man forgotten by his family, by his friends, and even by himself. When he is suddenly left without his trusted caregiver and on the brink of sinking further into lonely dementia, Ptolemy is assigned to care for orphaned teenager Robyn, played by Dominique Fishback. When they learn of a treatment that can restore memories affected by Ptolemy's dementia, he begins a journey into shocking truths about the past, present, and future."

In addition to Jackson and Fishback, the main cast includes Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Damon Gupton, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Walton Goggins, and Omar Miller. Executive producing credits also include Mosley, Diane Houslin, Ramin Bahrani, Eli Selden, David Levine for Anonymous Content, and LaTanya Richardson.

The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray will arrive with its first two episodes on March 11 to the original catalog of Apple TV +.
