Director Andy Serkis explained why he won't be directing Venom 3, the new sequel starring Tom Hardy.
Andy Serkis has revealed why he will not be the director of Venom 3, which has been assigned to Kelly Marcel.
The actor, interviewed by / Film, in fact, faced the choice not to go back a second time behind the camera of the project based on the Marvel comics.
Andy Serkis, speaking of Venom - Carnage's Wrath, said: "I had a great experience shooting the film. Tom Hardy is a dear friend of mine and I feel really proud of the work, we had fun making it."
The star added: "Being the keeper of that franchise for a while was great. But I have so many projects that I was starting to develop, like Animal Farm for example. We were going to start production on that project and then we postponed it while Venom was coming out. I had to take care of those projects that I had been working on for so long. "
Serkis reiterated, "But I'm really happy Kelly will make it, she's so in control of that material with Tom. The two of them are a great team to work with. I'm really excited to see what they are going to bring."
