Govinda Naam Mera: Vicky Kaushal is one of the most promising young heroes in Bollywood. After 2020, not a single movie of his has been released even in theatres. 'Sardar Udham Singh' was also released in OTT and became a super hit.
Now his latest movie 'Govinda Naam Mera' is also released directly on Disneyplus Hotstar. Along with Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, who is becoming a crazy heroine in Telugu, also acted in this movie. And has Vicky Kaushal repeated the success of Sardar?
Govinda Naam Mera Movie Story:
Govinda (Vicky Kaushal) works as a background dancer in Bollywood movies. His dream is to become a choreographer. His wife Gauri (Bhoomi Pednekar). Neither of them likes it at all. Gauri demands that if Govinda asks for a divorce, she should return the dowry of Rs 2 crores.
Govind also has a girlfriend named Sukku (Kiara Advani). Also, Gauri also has a boyfriend. Govinda also had property disputes with his stepmother's family. Even Govinda, Sukku's music video for money misfires.

Govinda Naam Mera Movie Analysis:
Usually, crime comedies have a crime element on one side, then the comedy is created from the events that happen around it. But 'Govinda Naam Mera' goes completely opposite to that. Because both crime and comedy are different in this movie.
An attempt was made to create comedy as long as the story revolved around Govinda's difficulties. Once it takes a crime turn, there is not much comedy in the film. But the comedy scenes revolving around Govinda are not very funny. It takes just over an hour for the story to take a crime turn. That is a big minus for the movie.
But from then onwards the story takes off. A seemingly innocent hero concept is always a super hit if done right. That part is well written in this too. Otherwise 'Govinda Naam Mera' would have become Govinda Govinda. The last half hour is the life of the movie.
Dealing with this portion to sit on the edge of the seat is a huge plus. There are no memorable songs in the movie. The background music is suitable for the scenes. The editing should have been a little crisper. A lot of scenes could easily have been edited in the first hour.
And when it comes to the actors... Vicky Kaushal in the role of Govinda is a blast. His character is in one shade for the first hour and a half, and another shade for the last half hour. Kiara Advani looks gorgeous on screen. She impresses the youth with her glamor in songs.

There is also scope for acting in his role. Bhumi Pednekar does justice to the role of Gayali's wife despite being a character with limited screen space. Ame Waugh's comedic timing as Govinda Lawyer is impressive.
Renuka Sashane, who played the role of Renu in the Telugu films Money and Money Money, appeared in the role of the hero's mother. She also acted brilliantly in her role. Overall... if you want to sit at home and watch some fun this weekend, this Govindudu is likely to impress you. Those who love crime thrillers will love this movie.
