James Bond: Aaron Taylor-Johnson close to hiring?

James Bond is one of those immortal characters in the world of literature who, thanks to the cinema, has had an even stronger and more disruptive consecration. The legendary figure, born from the pen of Ian Fleming in 1953, within the novel Casino Royale, populated the author's narrative universe until 1966, inspiring a film saga made up of 25 feature films recorded so far. Having said that, we have arrived at a fundamental turning point for the secret agent on the big screen: after the appreciated Daniel Craig embodied 007 in 5 films, with No Time to Die (2021) the era of the star is over, but apparently it is not yet certain who will replace him.

James Bond is still a vacant role

The debate on the new James Bond is in fact still open, with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson who, some time ago, spoke about the rules and specifications to be respected for hiring. It must, in fact, be a rather young male actor who, however, does not yet have a huge reputation. Among the eligible names that have bounced around in recent months, between Tom Hardy and Jude Law, Idris Elba, and RegĂ©-Jean Page, the one that seems to come closest to the description above seems to be the Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson. This is because, in fact, he is a famous actor, but not too much, and he is of the right age, that is 32 years old.

To corroborate this theory which, we repeat, has not yet been officially confirmed, there are some rumors that are leaking on the net. The last of which, shared by Puck News, would argue that the aforementioned actor would have not only auditioned at Pinewood Studios in England for the part but that at the same time, he would have already met Barbara Broccoli and that the meeting would go well. A rather reliable hypothesis even if Johnson's next projects or Kraven the Hunter and David Leitch's The Fall Guy would increase the artist's notoriety too much, partially distracting him from the possibility of becoming the next agent with a license to kill.
