While Avatar continues to grind millions upon millions at the international box office, the first news about the future of the saga is already emerging. James Cameron, with these results, can focus on the next chapters and, right on the third film arriving in 2024, the first interesting news emerges.

A few weeks ago the director anticipated that in Avatar 3 we will see a new tribe of Na'Vi, associated with the fire element. In a new interview with Empire, producer Jon Landau revealed the first face of the Ash People, describing them as an "aggressive and volcanic" race. The leader of the group will be called Varang and will be played by a famous granddaughter of art, Oona Chaplin.

The arrival in the cast of Charlie Chaplin's niece, best known for playing Talisa Maegyr in the Game of Thrones series, had already been announced for The Road to Water, but apparently, her debut has been postponed to the third chapter of the saga. “There are good and bad humans,” Landau said. “It's the same with the Na'Vi. People often don't see themselves as bad. What is the cause that made them evolve into what we perceive as bad? Maybe there are other factors that we are not aware of. In the same interview, Landau also revealed that between Avatar 3, which will be told from the point of view of Jake Sully's son, and Avatar 4 there will be a "big leap forward".

All this will then lead to the last chapter of the saga, set in part on Earth. A piece of news that had already been anticipated in another interview by Landau himself: «We go there to open people's eyes, those of Neytiri, to what exists on Earth». Skyrocketing curiosity now to understand what the hyper-populated earth will be like and in which natural resources are now scarce - the sad specter of the world that we are already living in part. However, Landau said, "We don't want to paint a bleak picture of where our world is headed. The movies are also about the idea that we can change course."

What do you think of the advances in the Avatar saga? Are you curious to see the next chapters? Let us know in the comments.
