James Gunn himself has made it clear, sadly, when we will be able to see new episodes of the show with John Cena.

Peacemaker is the recent DC television series that has allowed the Detective Comics universe to expand further. The show, conceived in the first person by James Gunn (Slither, Guardians of the Galaxy), is a real spin-off of The Suicide Squad, which arrived in 2021 and is totally focused on the homonymous character embodied by John Cena. A show that has struck a lot with irony and violence and which, according to many, is far superior to the related film. The first season of the making was received with great enthusiasm by audiences and critics and it should come as no surprise that many fans are eager to have new information on the matter, although it seems that in the next episodes, we will really see them in a long time.

Peacemaker season two is coming in 2025

When James Gunn spoke about the new DC universe, actually, he briefly mentioned the third season of Peacemaker, without talking about the second. When a fan asked him some time ago if the series had been canceled, the artist reiterated that we would see the series again after the arrival of the work dedicated to Amanda Waller. Having said that, when another fan, in the last few hours, asked him directly, on his Twitter profile, when we would see the second season of the show, he limited himself to saying after Superman: Legacy therefore, if the times are respected, we will talk of 2025. A very distant date, even if the filmmaker has repeatedly justified it by explaining that he had to get to work on the new film reserved for the Man of Steel.

We remind you that Peacemaker, with the first season, arrived in Italy, on Tim Vision, on December 21, 2022, with all 8 episodes available. The series, produced by The Safran Company, Troll Court Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television, was executive produced by Matt Miller, Peter Safran, and James Gunn.
