Captain America: New World Order changes its title. Marvel also publishes the first photo from the set of the anticipated film with Anthony Mackie!

Captain America: New World Order is now titled Captain America: Brave New World. On social media, Marvel Studios announced the title change for the fourth Captain America film, along with a preview photo of stars Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford on the set of the film. Marvel announced last July that Captain America 4 would be subtitled New World Order and would hit theaters on May 3, 2024. The release date remains unchanged, but the subtitle has changed to Brave New World.

Anthony Mackie stars in the title role, making Captain America 4 his first MCU film as the eponymous hero. The actor made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the Falcon but donned the shield of Captain America for the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The role of Captain America in the MCU originally belonged to Chris Evans, but the star said goodbye to the character after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Captain America: Brave New World is directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) and co-written by Malcolm Spellman, who was the creator of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. The film's cast also includes Harrison Ford (here in his MCU debut) as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. The star takes over from the late William Hurt. Ross in Brave New World will be the President of the United States. Also starring are Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson, who reprise their roles of Betty Ross and Samuel Sterns from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk. The cast also includes Shira Haas and Top Gun: Maverick actor Danny Ramirez.
