Chris Hemsworth criticizes Taika Waititi's Thor films: 'They're a bit silly'

Chris Hemsworth has candidly shared his thoughts on one of Taika Waititi's Thor movies. The New Zealand director helmed the Australian actor in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, and then again in 2022's Thor: Love & Thunder. When he shared his honest thoughts on the latter film during a recent interview, Hemsworth didn't he certainly held back.

What is Thor's future for Chris Hemsworth?

The actor believes the fourth Thor solo film would be the perfect ending for the celebrated Marvel hero. "I'm not saying it because they told me, it's just my thought," he makes it clear.

The actor also addressed his future at Marvel Studios in a recent interview for the upcoming Netflix action film Extraction 2. Hemsworth hinted that his eventual return is conditional on a few points. He's currently "seeing what they have to offer creatively" and "if there's anything new" for the character, stating, "I really want to do more."

The actor admitted that his busy schedule with Marvel left him so jaded that he wasn't sure how he would "get through" filming the next Mad Max movie, Furiosa. “I walked into that movie exhausted. I was like, 'How am I going to get through this?' In the first week of rehearsals with George [Miller the director] all of a sudden there was this rekindling of my creative energy." He called it "by far the best experience of my career and something I feel most proud of."
