From Star Wars to Pixar, to the great returns of TV series such as the acclaimed The Bear: here are the news arriving on the streaming platform during 2023!
Disney + has announced the new titles that will debut exclusively on the streaming platform in 2023, including the awaited second season of the Marvel series Loki, arriving on October 6th. Also arriving is the third season of the comedy series Only Murders in the Building (August 8) with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, as well as the second season of the FX series Welcome to Wrexham which will continue to follow the journey of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds with Wrexham AFC; while The Bear, the critically acclaimed FX original series, returns to Chicago with Carmy and her crew as they transform their rundown sandwich shop into a superior establishment.
The eagerly awaited original British series The Full Monty will debut in Italy on July 5, 25 years after the success of the original British film. Other UK originals confirmed for 2023 include Robbery and Escape (original title Culprits), a dark and humorous series starring Nathan Stewart Jarrett and Gemma Arterton, and The Impossible Formula 1 Story (working title), a British sports story told by Keanu Reeves.
EMEA originals include the animated sci-fi anthology Kizazi Moto: Generation of Fire, produced by Academy Award-winning director Peter Ramsey, with creators from Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt, arriving July 5; as well as the original Italian series The Lions of Sicily, based on the bestseller of the same name by Stefania Auci, which tells the compelling story of the Florio family. The brothers Paolo and Ignazio are two small spice traders who fled from a Calabria anchored in the past and in search of social redemption.
On the National Geographic front, Bertie Gregory will return to Disney+ in 2023 with a second season of Extreme Adventures with Bertie Gregory that will take viewers on epic and enthralling journeys that go into the most spectacular and secret corners of our wild world. The East High Wildcats will also be returning to Disney+ with a fourth season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Following Marvel Studios Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which debuted on Disney+ in May, June will offer an exclusive selection of the latest blockbusters, including James Cameron's global phenomenon Avatar: The Way dell'Acqua, arriving on June 7, and the new original film Flamin' Hot directed by Eva Longoria, available from June 9. To these titles is also added the Marvel Studios espionage thriller series Secret Invasion, with Samuel L. Jackson, which will make its debut on the streaming platform on June 21st.
Marvel news coming to Disney+
Loki 2 will debut on October 6 and will be the first-ever Marvel Studios series to return for a second season. The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw and immediately picks up where the first season left off.
Echo will arrive on November 29, with all episodes available on the day of debut. The series tells the story of Maya Lopez, whose ruthless conduct in New York also follows her in her hometown. Maya must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and understand the meaning of family and community if she is to hope to move forward.

Warrior. Outcast. Rebel. Jedi. Ahsoka will arrive in August 2023. Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates a nascent threat in a now vulnerable galaxy.
The first Pixar series
Win or Lose (December 2023) is Pixar's first long-running official series confirmed for Disney+. The series follows the intertwining stories of several characters as they prepare for the big league softball game.
