Ashwin Babu is the protagonist who got success with the 'Raju Gari Gadhi' series of movies. In between they did 'I am my father and my boyfriend'. The movie 'Hidimba' in which he acted as the hero is releasing in theaters on the 20th of this month. Nandita Swetha is the heroine in this. The promotional pictures of this movie are impressive. And how was the movie?

Hidimba Movie Story

Hidimba Movie Analysis

The promotional films of 'Hidimba' have created interest among the audience. A tribal race that eats people, missing girls in the city, a very raw and rustic take... there are exciting elements. To be honest... the story and plot of 'Hidimba' are new. But... the way the story is told is like a regular routine movie. The first half of the movie is like a normal investigation. However... the non-linear screenplay was a little interesting.

In 'Hidimba', the whole story is in the second half. Most importantly, it is in the flag scenes. Those twists and turns are interesting. But... till then the story is simple. But, little by little, the interest that something is going to happen later, they took it forward. Even though the length of the love track/song between the hero and heroines is short, the original story has been hindered. But, Grandeur is impressive on screen.

The action sequences have been designed in a way that does not detract from the star heroes. Ashwin Babu also did well in these fights. However... the character design is not made to make the audience believe that the hero is that strong. Action scenes seem forced in the crime thriller story. Thrilling scenes are well written. It cannot be said that 'Hidimba' is not good. It cannot be said that it is good. A feeling of missing something. Logic is very important for this kind of movie. The director has left that logic in the air. DGP tells Adya not to leave the city. She goes to Kerala. Starting is called organ trading. After that, there will be no more. It was left to the wind. The director took a lot of freedom in terms of screenplay and writing and made the film. Cinematic liberties were taken to extremes.

The background of the Hidimba caste is terrifying. But... that story was told after the interval. Later that excitement was not so successful in continuing. A major plus point of the movie is the cinematography & music. Every fame and visual is good. Background music and sound design elevate the scenes. Watching the movie, you can understand that there is no compromise in the production.

Hidimba Movie Actors Performance

Ashwin Babu impresses more in action sequences than in normal scenes. Both the Kalabanda fight and the fight shot in Kerala are good. He did justice to the action scenes. Acting in key scenes is also good. Nandita Shweta's dressing style and acting are good in the role of IPS Adya. Can't imagine anyone else in that role instead of Makarand Deshpande. Raghu Kunche, Sanjay Swaroop, Shizju, Srinivasa Reddy, Rajeev Pillai, and others have acted in a range of roles.

Finally what? : A new point is said in 'Hidimba'. They have tried to tell a story that has not been seen on the Telugu screen till now. But... the director failed to tell the story interestingly. Ashwin Babu's hardship is evident on screen. The parts are good. But, when you see it as a story or a movie, you feel that something is missing. We will be a bit disappointed. The pre-climax twist gives a shock. The climax gives a hint that there will be a sequel.
