The Nun 2 Trailer is finally available. The horror film, which is the ninth installment in The Conjuring Universe, is the sequel to 2018's The Nun. The first film was set in 1952 and followed Father Burke, novice Sister Irene, and their guide Frenchie as they investigated a secluded Romanian monastery haunted by a demonic nun. This sequel will instead now be set in 1956, in France, where Sister Irene will once again come face to face with Valak, the demonic nun.
The trailer promises yet another unsettling adventure after the demonic nun, Valak, reappears to haunt young students at a French boarding school. Sister Irene is then forced back into action to confront the entity after it emerges from within Frenchie, where she had taken refuge at the end of the previous film when she was thought to have been defeated. Furthermore, with this new chapter, the story dedicated to Valak should reconnect to the film The Conjuring 2, the first film in the saga in which the demonic nun made an appearance of her.

Taissa Farmiga (The Nun) returns as Sister Irene, joined by Jonas Bloquet (Tirailleurs), Storm Reid (The Last of Us, The Suicide Squad), Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy), Bonnie Aarons (The Nun) and a cast of international stars. Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: On the Devil's Order) directs from a screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing (Eli, The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and Akela Cooper (M3gan, Malignant). From a story by Akela Cooper, based on characters created by James Wan & Gary Dauberman.
The film is produced by Peter Safran's Safran Company and James Wan's Atomic Monster. The Nun 2 is executive produced by Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michael Polaire. In the creative team that supported the director Michael Chaves, we find the director of photography Tristan Nyby (The Conjuring: On Order of the Devil), the production designer Stéphane Cressend (The French Dispatch), the editor Gregory Plotkin (Get Out) and the composer Marco Beltrami (Scream) author of the soundtrack.
The Nun 2 will be in cinemas from September and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
