Karthi Anu Emmanuel's Japan film review: Karthi and Anu Emmanuel's movie 'Japan'. Sunil played a key role. As a Diwali gift, it was released in Telugu and Tamil languages. How is this movie?

Japan Movie Story

Royal Jewelry in Hyderabad City Rs. 200 crores worth of jewelry and ornaments are looted. Golden Star Japan (Karthi) is suspected to have committed this robbery. Two teams led by Sridhar (Sunil) and Bhavani (Vijay Milton) start hunting for Japan.

On the other hand, Kerala and Karnataka police are also looking for him. He sets his sights on Sanju (Anu Emmanuel), the star heroine of Japan, who makes films with the stolen money. If he goes to Japan for her... the police will round him up. Then Japon learns about the robbery. He says that he did not commit the theft.

If not Japan, who did the theft? How did the police solve this case? Why is Sridhar afraid of Japan? What are the secrets of the police in Japan? Finally, what happened? It should be seen on the silver screen.

Japan Movie Analysis

The promotional images of 'Japan', especially Karthi's dialogues, made the audience's eye on the film. This is also Karthi's 25th film and it is a production of Dream Warrior Pictures, which has made different films like 'Khaidi' & 'Kashmora' with Karthi, so the audience has expectations. When it comes to how the movie is…

'Japan' is a good start. It seems like a cat-and-mouse game between a thief and a policeman. However... it won't take long for those hopes and illusions to disappear. Karthi is shown as a hero on the silver screen who makes movies with thieves & stolen money. Karthi played two characters in the movie, a thief and a policeman.

Maybe... the director felt it was a comedy. The audience who sees that scene on the screen does not feel the real thing. Moreover, it is stretched. Seeing that reminds me of Brahmanandam's introduction in 'Attarintiki Daredi'. Comedy was not worked out in most of the scenes in 'Japan'. There are only a few laughs in between.

Shooting comedy scenes is an art! It is not enough to have good timing and an accent in a hero comedy. Scenes should also have content. Missed it in 'Japan'. The audience who watch movies in theaters every week laughs at movie reference dialogues and punch dialogues on movies.

Karthi's scene in the police van with symbolism, cringe, review writers, and C center audience makes everyone laugh. It seems that if the film was made based on the flashback scene at the end, it would have been a big hit.

In terms of technical aspects, 'Japan' is difficult to impress. Dark theme, and low light patterns followed in cinematography. There are no songs in GV Prakash Kumar's music that you want to listen to again and again. Background music is just ok. None of the twists in the screenplay worked out. It is not difficult to guess what happens next. Build values don't matter.

Japan Movie Actors Performance:

Karthi's hard work for the character was evident. He especially worked hard to pronounce the Japanese accent. Karthi's hairstyle and dressing style changed. There is no fault as far as Karthi's acting & efforts are concerned. He did justice to his role.

Karthi's dialogue with Anu Emmanuel says, 'If you had done this acting on screen, you would have become a big heroine'. That dialogue comes as part of a scene in the movie. That is... because she played the heroine role in the movie! It's really a satire on Anu Emmanuel's acting. She has done nothing as an actress. Except it just looks like a glamor doll!

Look, get up... Sunil looked super as he got the right character. There are comedy scenes in between as if for him. Vijay Milton's acting as Bhavani is okay. KS Ravikumar and others did as per the scope of roles.

Finally...: Karthi has done well as an actor. The 'Japan' accent is also good. But, the movie disappointed me. Only some comedy scenes made me laugh. There is a dialogue in the movie... 'People have stopped coming to theatres'! It is difficult to get an audience for such films. Just for Karthi fans... if you go without any expectations!
