Universal Pictures has released the trailer for The Fall Guy, a film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Real-life stuntman and director David Leitch, the blockbuster director of Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, presents his most personal film yet, a hilarious and gripping new thriller action that is first and foremost a love letter to films of this genre and to the hard-working and underrated crew of people who make them.

The official synopsis reads: “Colt Seavers is a stuntman and, like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot at, crashed, thrown through windows, and dropped from the highest heights, all for the enjoyment of the public. And now, fresh from an accident that nearly ended his career, this working-class hero must track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy, and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could be good?”

Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land, Drive) plays Colt Seavers, while Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place, Sicario) stars as director Jody Moreno. Also part of the cast are Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) in the role of the producer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Nocturnal Animals) as Tom Ryder, the star of the film who mysteriously disappeared, but also Winston Duke (Black Panther) and Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

The film is inspired by the hit 80s TV series, The Fall Guy and was written by Drew Pearce and produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch himself for their company 87North, but also by Ryan Gosling and Guymon Casady ( Game of Thrones, Steve Jobs and executive producer of the upcoming series Ripley) and Geoff Shaevitz for Entertainment 360. Other producers also include the creator of the original television series The Fall Guy, Glen A. Larson. The film will arrive in theaters on March 1st.
