Inspector Rishi Web Series Review: Every week, web series from the crime thriller genre keep coming to OTT platforms. The reason for this is the special popularity of this genre. Efforts are also being made to give a horror touch to such a genre in recent times.
Another web series that has been created in this way is 'Inspector Rishi'. This series, in which Naveen Chandra plays the main role, is streaming in 10 episodes from the 29th of this month. Let's now see how this series, which is set in a forest, is.
Inspector Rishi Web Series Story:
This story starts in the 'Then Kad' forest area, which is 50 km away from Coimbatore. Then Kad is a very dense forest area. It is a haven for many wild animals.. a large number of elephants.. and dangerous poisonous snakes.
Many families live in such a forest area, trusting it. It is an area where even the forest officials are afraid to go into the forest after 6 pm. A series of murders begin to take place in that area.
Rishi falls in love with Viji (Harini Sundararajan). However, Rishi realizes that her love for him has become suspicious. He tells her to stop spying on him and that he cannot reveal everything due to his profession. However, she does not listen. Due to an incident, she dies. However, her ghost keeps appearing to him. She keeps expressing her impatience.
Some people express their belief that a 'virgin goddess' is roaming in the forest and committing murders. Some dare to say that they have seen a virgin goddess. Rishi denies that the 'virgin goddess' is roaming in the forest.
He is surprised that the bodies are being built around them so quickly without much time after the murder. His investigation also begins in the direction of how this is possible. What challenges will he face in investigating this case? How will he overcome them? The rest of the story is about.
Inspector Rishi Web Series Analysis:
This entire story revolves around the forest .. the forest offices .. around tribal villages. It is a 10-episode story. To get to the tenth episode, the previous nine episodes must be followed by one another.
And I have to say that this series is very interesting. Nothing is beyond expectations .. but the way the suspense is revealed .. the way the reasons are given are impressive. Otherwise, it would have been better if the confusion at the end was reduced.
Is the virgin goddess doing the murders? Or are the smugglers doing it to terrorize the system there? Is Mangai, who is facing allegations of practicing black magic, the reason for this? Or is Rishi's wife Viji, who has become a ghost, doing all this? The director's interesting way of taking it forward till the end is good, raising doubts. The way the director has designed each character .. the way he has registered them is impressive.
It must be said that the photography and background music are what take these types of stories forward in a thrilling manner. Bhargav Sridhar's camera work seems perfect. The way he has shot the shots in the forest background .. the rain scenes .. the scenes in the dark background are impressive.
And Ashwath's background music is entertaining. The sound effect that comes before the arrival of the goddess is the most crucial in this series. The music he has provided connects with the scenes and makes you travel. The editing is also okay.
Actors Performance:
Naveen Chandra has now become a caroff address for police roles. His acting in this series also gets good marks. Apart from Sunaina, who played the forest guard, everyone else has acted very naturally. In fact, the length of the episodes seems a bit long.
Otherwise, the makers have become fixated on telling it in detail. The way the suspense was held till the end was good. But it would have been better if there had been some clarity at the end. Also, the film track seems unnecessary. Leaving aside one or two minus points, it can be said that this series will also take the place of the huge web series that have come out in recent times.
