Marco Movie Review: One of the latest films to hit the theatres with the start of this new year is the Malayalam crazy hit film “Marco”. Let’s see in the review whether this film, which was released in Telugu on January 1st with good hype, will please the Telugu audience or not.

Marco Movie Story:

Now coming to the story.. Russell (Abhimanyu S Thalikan) kills a blind boy named Victor (Ishaan Shaukat) most brutally. On the other hand, Marco (Unni Mukundan), who is very fond of this same Victor, is a man who will do anything for his family. What decision did Victor make regarding his brutal death?

But why did Russell have to kill this boy named Victor? What is the link between Russell and the gang and Marco’s older brother’s gang? To know to what extent Marco took his revenge, you have to watch this film.

Marco Movie Analysis:

The film became a sensational hit in Malayalam. Moreover, many people have compared this film, which is also doing well in Hindi, with the Hindi violent film “Kill”. However, it can be said that they are not wrong in making such a comparison. It is not in that range, but there are solid violent elements in this film as well.

Especially, some scenes seem very brutal. Some sequences are also designed in a good and stylish way, which provides a good feast for action movie lovers. Also, the interval block in the film, as well as a brutal episode with the pre-climax villain and the climax portion give a good treat.

It must be said that hero Unni Mukundan has given a solid performance in the film. So far, we have seen him in the films Janatha Garage and Bhagamathi in Telugu, but in this film, he is completely different. Unni shows off his beast mode and treats action movie lovers. He has done his personality looks and many emotional scenes well. It must be said that he has also impressed in the action scenes.

Also, actor Abhimanyu Thalikan, who appeared in the villain role along with him, showed cruelty in his role. Similarly, another famous actor Kabir Duhan Singh came in the pre-climax and impressed with good action scenes and screen presence by displaying more villainy. Similarly, another senior actor Siddiqui also got a good role. Thus, all the actors did their roles perfectly.

This movie was projected as a crazy violent drama, but those who had that range of expectations on this movie will be a bit disappointed. Except for one or two scenes in the first half including the hero's entry, the rest of the story seems to be moving slowly and slowly.

Many people have also compared it to Kill, but even if you look at how much cruelty is shown, Kill is a step above it. There is no doubt about it.

Because Marco also has episodes of brutal killing, but they do not seem that natural. That naturalness is missing in many violent scenes, but it is not like that in Kill. Every scene is seen clearly even in such a color tone. Even though the movie is shown in a dark theme here, it does not look that natural.

In other words, some violent scenes in Marco remind you of the graphics in some video games. So, this movie may not give a full treat to those who want a crazy action and violent movie with naturalness.

Apart from these, when it comes to the pre-climax, the hero's character, who has suddenly become weak, suddenly becomes strong again, and those situations do not seem to be so in sync. There are also some logical errors. Even though this is a rated movie, an episode in the pre-climax can disturb the family audience.

Technical Category:

The production values are solid in this movie. It can be said that the makers have spent a lot of money in terms of production. Also, Ravi Basrur's score in the technical team shows an impact in some scenes. He has provided good stylish beats but it would have been better if he had given them better in many more scenes. Chandru's cinematography is good. Shamir Muhammad's score editing is okay. The action part design is good but they lack naturalness.

And when it comes to director Hanif Adeni.. he chose the routine revenge plot but added a terrible bloodbath to it. He showed the peak in violence up to where it should go. But the story seems to be so-so. So only the action part and the violence part have worked out solidly.

Conclusion:

As a whole, it can be said that this “Marco” is a brutal routine revenge violence drama. If Unni Mukundan gives his life, then this film will be liked by those who like good action and blood action dramas.

But if the director had set an engaging screenplay in the story and narration, this blood and action drama would have exploded even more. So with these, action lovers can definitely try this film once.
