Dabba Cartel Web Series Review: So far, many films have been made on the drug mafia, but in most of them, the drug mafia is a male villain, and one or two beautiful girls are added to his group to increase the glamour. But this Netflix series has turned the matter around. This entire drug business is run by women and runs it wonderfully. Shabana Azmi especially looks very powerful on screen and even tells a drug dealer that the goods may be yours but the market is mine and these women are the queens of this market.
Dabba cartel Web Series Story:
This story is about some women who have some compulsion and they need money. Some do cleaning work in the house, some need money for their upcoming child, and some want to expand their business. Circumstances bring them all together and these people work to supply drugs in food boxes.
They think they will leave this work after earning some money but get stuck in that quagmire. To see what happens next, you will have to watch 7 episodes of this series on Netflix, each about 50 minutes long.
Dabba cartel Web Series Analysis:
The series seems a bit slow in the beginning. Nothing special happens in the first episode but the series comes to the point from the second episode. The series gets a new life with the entry of Shabana Azmi and then from the third episode when this gang starts running the Dabba Cartel, you enjoy it.
Females are rarely shown so strong and a series is led by only and only female characters. Everyone's performance in this series is amazing. There is not a single weak performance. Everyone's character has been given a full chance. The male characters have also been shown well.
No one character dominates the series, no matter how amazing an actress Shabana Azmi is. She does wonders when she comes on screen but the other characters also get a full chance to emerge. The angle of a medicine company that manufactures drugs in the name of medicine has also been added and it seems a bit stretched in some places and the reason for that is the amazing work of the female characters. You want to see them only.
Actors Performance:
The biggest quality of this series is its actors. Everyone has done a great job. The way Shabana Azmi scares the person in front of her with just one look tells what level of an actress she is. It is fun to watch her on screen. She has given a very powerful performance. Jyotika's work is also great. She is the voice of many women who want to do something on their own and she has raised this voice very well.
Nimisha Bindu's work is very good, she seems to fit perfectly in this role of a maid. Shalini Pandey's work is great, this is her best performance to date. A girl who is pregnant and just wants her child to come into this world and for this, she can do anything.
Anjali Anand's work is good. Sai Tammankar has played the role of a policewoman whom her seniors consider useless. Sai has done a wonderful job in this role. These days she is doing a great job anyway. Lilit Dubey's work is good. Gajraj Rao shows his magic even among so many female actors. Jisshu Sengupta's work is good. Bhupendra Singh impresses a lot, and Sunil Grover comes in the end and does wonders.
This series has been written by Shibani Akhtar, Gaurav Kapoor, Bhavana Kher, Vishnu Menon, and Akansha Seda and directed by Hitesh Bhatia. They should be praised for writing every character according to its needs and giving it space. The series has not focused only on Hawaiian dialogues.
Many other aspects related to women have been touched upon very well. A veteran like Shabana Azmi was used properly and many characters emerged even after her presence. This is the biggest strength of this series and this can only happen with good writing and direction.
