L2 Empuraan Review: The latest movie starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is `L2 Empuraan` (Lucifer 2). Prithviraj Sukumaran is the other hero in this film and he directed it. This is the sequel to Lucifer`, which came out in 2019. The movie, which came out as a political action thriller, was a big success.

Chiranjeevi remade it in Telugu as `Godfather` and was impressed. Now, after six years, the sequel is coming. It stars Abhinay Singh, Tovino Thomas, and Manju Warrier in important roles. The film, which is being jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas,

Sri Gokulam Movies Lyca Productions is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan. Dil Raju is releasing the film in Telugu. The film was released today (March 27). Let's find out how the movie is in the review.

L2 Empuraan Movie Story:

Jithin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas) takes over as the CM of Kerala as the successor of PKR (Sachin Khedkar). But PKR failed to implement his ambitions. He becomes selfish and corrupt. Moreover, he formed a new party called IUF PKR instead of the IUF party. Baba Bajrangi (Abhimanyu Singh) announces that he is going to work with the party.

A journalist tries to inform Stephen about this, saying that this is dangerous for Kerala and that Lucifer should return. Sister Priyadarshini Ramdas (Manju Warrier) opposes Jithin's decision. She goes against the CM. With this, he tries to kill her. Stephen (Mohanlal) comes to save her. He saves her.

Moreover, he guides her on what to do from now on. He tells her to do as written in the book. With this, Priyadarshini takes charge. In the meantime, several cases are filed and arrests. So, did Stephen come to save her? What did Stephen do to stop Jithin's games?

What is the role of Syed (Prithviraj Sukumaran) in this? Why is he supporting Stephen? What happened in 2002? What is the reason for his hatred against Baba Bajrangi? What did Baba Bajrangi do in the past? Who is Stephen now? Who is Lucifer? Who is Qureshi Akbar? Where is he? That is the rest of the story.

L2 Empuraan Movie Analysis:

Prithviraj Sukumaran has made this film as a continuation of the film Lucifer that came out six years ago. The gist of this movie is how Jithin, who inherited the PRK, went astray and tried to corrupt the state and gain personal gain and how Lucifer and Priyadarshini Ram Das faced it. In the beginning, the communal conflicts of 2002 were shown.

The injustice done to the Sayyad family at that time was shown and attention was created in the story. The advance planning regarding Lucifer's entry and the way he created the political consequences that were to come were good. On the other hand, Mohanlal's entry scenes as Stephen were impressive. However, it seems a bit impatient that it took so long for his entry.

There is a feeling of being dragged out. But Mohanlal's entry scene was impressive. It is noteworthy that his entry was so wow even though it was late. Those scenes with huge action episodes were good. They stood out as highlights. On the one hand, Stephen is coming abroad to end the mafia, and on the other hand, the way he showed unexpected developments in Kerala politics is good.

It is engaging throughout. In the interval, scenes related to Stephen were shown and created suspense. Curiosity was created with a twist. The way that twist was revealed in the second half is good. Scenes like Jithin being kidnapped and giving him a warning and Manju Warrier becoming a key figure in Kerala politics are goosebumps.

Most of the film is designed to reflect Kerala politics. The entire story revolves around them. The political developments are thrillingly conducted. It is made to connect with the common audience. Manju Warrier's political activism entry is also amazing.

However, there are many layers in the film. The director has failed to link them. There is no connection between one story and another. That is what deviates the audience. The story shown at the beginning has no connection with the story of Lucifer. It seems that the respective scenes were made just for the role of Prithviraj. Also, the dialogues are a big minus. The naturalness is lost by translating Christian words into the original.

They are understandable only to those who follow Christianity. In this regard, Telugu Nativity should be followed. On the other hand, the suspense in the characters of Stephen and Lucifer also creates some confusion. The scenes that take place abroad and the scenes that link to local politics also create some confusion.

The movie Lucifer is mostly about local politics. There is connectivity. But in `L2 Empuraan`, Mohanlal's character is abroad. Why is he fighting? What is he fighting for? The clarity is missing. In addition, the elevations are over. It is too much to give elevation every time Mohanlal makes an entry.

Also, the action scenes, the scenes in his character, are set abroad, reminding us of Hollywood movies and Bollywood action movies. The feeling of `Mana` is missing. However, the stylish way they are made, and Mohanlal's character is shown even more stylishly, is amazing. The twists that come in the middle are good.

But it would have been better if the story of the movie was driven closer to reality. The intelligent screenplay is also a bit of a problem. This movie seems to have forgotten its roots in the pan-India craze. It would have been better if it had given priority to the popular elements. It would have been better if it had been balanced at least. The villain role is not strong either. It would have been better if the film had been run with a simple story. But the stylish take is good. That alone is not enough for the audience.

Actors Performance:

There is no need to mention the performance of the complete actor Mohanlal. He is a top with his acting. He is impressed in this as Qureshi, Stephen, and Lucifer. There are elevations in a range that make it seem like Poonakale just appeared. He was impressed with the settled acting for as long as he was there. He showed his strength in the action scenes, too.

Even though he appears less, the feeling of the entire film is there. Prithviraj Sukumaran did not look as good as Sayyad. Directing and acting in this is a big task. But he did it with flying colors. He made the characters bleed. Tovino Thomas impressed with his settled acting as Jatin Ram Das. He showed different shades.

His heights and heights as a politician seem interesting. Manju Warrier also impressed once again. She did well as a political leader and looked dignified. The twist she gave was amazing. As for Baba Bajrangi, Abhishek Singh impressed within the scope of his role. It can be said that the other roles seemed okay.

Technicians:

Deepak Dev has provided music for this film. His music is a highlight. Especially in the case of BGM, he has excelled. Mass and stylish BGM have been added to the action scenes. The background scope in the action scenes is amazing. Editor Akhilesh Mohan seemed okay. He still needs to trim it for clarity. The story needs to be sped up.

Sujeeth Vasudev's camera work is good. The lavish visuals are eye-catching. Director Prithviraj... has already proven himself as a director. Now, he has done his magic once again. He has made this one better than the first film.

Mohan Lal has shown the elevations in a range. The action scenes have been made a highlight. Care should have been taken in the dialogues. More care should have been taken in the direction of the screenplay. It would have been better if it had been made in a way that everyone could understand.
