Shanmukha Movie Review: Aadi Saikumar, who has been waiting for commercial success for some time now, has changed his route from his regular genre action and is now in front of the audience with the devotional thriller 'Shanmukh'. The film, starring Avika Gor as the heroine, has music by renowned music director Ravi Basur of KGF and Salar fame.
To what extent has Ravi Basur's music been a plus for this film. Did Aadi Saikumar achieve success with 'Shanmukh'? Did 'Shanmukh' impress the audience as a devotional thriller? Or not? Let's find out..
Shanmukha Movie Story:
Viranda (Chirag Jani), who is expecting a child, wants to bring a child born with six faces in a deformed form, to a form full of brilliance with one face. For this, he not only resorts to occult powers but also tries to transform his son into a one-faced person by learning the occult powers and their methods himself.
For this, the occult powers also want Klinkara alias Sara (Avika Gor), who has the power to turn six zodiac signs and stars towards her, along with girls born under sure signs and stars.
Viranda tries to bring his child back to normal human form with Klinkara's blood transfusion. However, he tries to save Sara from the love of Esai (Karthik), who loves Sara. So how did Karthik overcome the occult powers and save Sara? How did Karthik solve the mystery of the kidnappings that are happening in the city? Did Viranda's son finally become one-faced? What really happened? What are the twists in the movie? You have to watch the movie to know.
Shanmukha Movie Analysis:
This is a crime thriller with a devotional touch. Although the film seems interesting at the beginning.. the director is unable to maintain the same interest throughout. Starting with a story with a devotional touch at the beginning, he took a turn as an investigative crime thriller in the middle.
The director started the film interestingly until Shanmukha's birth and mother's sentiment, but in the middle, he made the interest in the film fade with some routine crime scenes. At times, with so many characters.. it feels confusing. However, when the second half is over, after knowing the connection between the occult rituals and kidnappings that take place in the forest, clarity comes.
Just when some scenes seem to be good, that interest fades with a poor scene. Especially in the second half, the first half hour seems boring, but the scenes that come before the climax and the climax scenes make it interesting again.
Although the director knows what to say through this film, he seems to have hesitated at times, not knowing how to say it. However, in some scenes, he has shown his talent as a director. Although there are some logical mistakes in the film, Ravi Basur has prevented them from reaching the audience's mind with his background music.
Actors performance:
Adi was impressed by police officer Karthik. Maturity was seen in his performance. His makeover in the getup required by a police officer is appropriate for the role. Avika Gor expressed her emotions cutely.
Although the scope of Chirag's role as a leader is large, it would be better if the role was made more powerful. Aditya Om, Manoj Nandam, and Krishnadu excelled in their roles. Ravi Basur's music and background music for this film are timeless.
Ravi Basur made even the weak scenes entertaining with his background music. Vishnu's camera work is not bad. As a director, Shanmugam showed his talent in a few scenes.
If the story and scenes had been designed appropriately, Shanmukha would have been a completely popular film. However, only those viewers who like devotional thrillers and do not think about logic can watch this film... However, if you go to this film with high expectations, you will be disappointed.
