Madhushala Movie Review: In recent times, rural areas have become a hotbed for short film stories. It is increasingly common to take a good story and turn a good village into a location. Villages are now seen as a necessary resource to provide films with good content on a low budget. The film 'Madhushala' has been streaming on 'ETV Win' since yesterday.
Madhushala Movie Story:
It is a remote village. MLA Satyanarayana (Goparaju Ramana) continues to rule there. Venkatrao (Banerjee), a candidate who contested against him and lost, also lives in the same village. Satyanarayana says that his son loves him and brings a poor girl, Pallavi (Yanni), as his daughter-in-law.
Everyone keeps talking about his ideals. Pallavi's parents are overwhelmed by their luck. In the same village, Durga (Manoj Nandam) lives by believing in hardship. He is in love with Ramulu's (Tanikella Bharani) daughter, 'Kanaka' (Inaya).
Both of them are planning to get married. Meanwhile, everyone is talking about the name of 'Madhuravani' (Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar) as the most beautiful girl in the village. Ravi (Getup Srinu) keeps visiting her house to get her at any cost.
It is against this backdrop that 'Durga' does so when Nayudamma (Raghubabu) tells him to kidnap Pallavi and keep her secretly with four kings. As a result, the search for Pallavi begins and the entire atmosphere in the village becomes chaotic.
At that time, Durga receives an order to kill Pallavi. What will he do then? Who is trying to kill Pallavi? What is the role of Madhuravani? This is the rest of the story.
Madhushala Movie Analysis:
In rural areas, there is naturally a lot of focus on local politics. There, people are seen dividing into groups and factions of political leaders. We also keep hearing stories about village boys getting into trouble for 'easy money'.
Since the villages are very small, it is easy to observe each other there. This is a story made by combining such elements. Village stories mixed with love, politics and a little comedy seem to be very impressive. Is this story impressive? I have to say that it is not.
The first scene where Pallavi is made a daughter-in-law becomes clear. It is then that we understand that proper work has not been done on the script and filming. If we see a photo of a person changing hands to murder him, it reminds us of a ticket changing hands from conductor to passenger in a city bus.
In the main story, the roles of MLA, Madhuravani and Durga appear important. However, these three characters could not be made powerful. In particular, the character of 'Madhuravani' is not designed properly, which makes the character dull.
It is a problem that the characters of Raghubabhu and Tanikella Bharani are limited to silly comedy. At the beginning of the film, a wine shop called 'Madhushala' is shown. Surprisingly, the name of that wine shop is set as the title of the film, leaving aside the rest of the story.
Performance:
There are some crazy artists in this film. However, due to the lack of proper design of their characters, there is a lack of naturalness. They could not plan scenes with feel from any track. Therefore, the story continues till the end with poor scenes. The photography.. background music.. editing performance seem to be a bit of a letdown.
